A Wellspring of Refreshment // A Prayer from Today's Psalms // August 6, 2025

Be gracious to me, Lord, for I am weak, my whole being is shaken. Oh, Lord, for how long? Turn, Lord! Rescue me! Save me for the sake of your faithful love. I am weary. I am discouraged. I am grieved.

I regret my selfish, flattering opinion of myself when I felt on top of the world, and superior to all around me. Your Holy Spirit has shown me my sinful self-deception and malicious attitudes to those around me.

Lord, your faithful love reaches to heaven, your faithfulness to the clouds. Your right-ness is like the highest mountains, your purposes like the deepest sea. How priceless is your faithful love, God! In the shadow of your wings is my refuge. Lord, from your refreshing wellspring my thirst is satisfied. By your Spirit's light I see light at last!
